In Spring, Scrimshire releases a huge remix project, featuring Kayla Painter, Hector Plimmer, Red Rack'Em and more. The first remix to be taken from the album is by long-time Scrimshire influence and hero, Nite Jewel.
Albert’s Favourites co-founder Adam Scrimshire released his fourth album 'Listeners' in summer 2019. Musically, 'Listeners' draws from Scrimshire's passion for jazz, soul and electronic music of all styles; from an energetic combination of Afrobeat and garage on 'Won't Get Better', to the lushly orchestrated neo-soul of 'Thru You', and the harmonious jazz experimentations of 'I Never'.
From the moment of its release, the Listeners has generated a huge swell of support, that made many tastemakers' album of the year lists. Listeners has received repeated attention on BBC Radio 6 Music, making Tom Ravenscroft’s recommends playlist, receiving support from Mary Anne Hobbs, Huey Morgan, Steve Lamacq and featuring as an Album of the Day in early August. Scrimshire has provided a guest mix for Ravenscroft’s Friday night show and even visited BBC Radio 2 for a “Take 5” interview with Jamie Cullum.
