The Pile feat. Cleveland Watkiss (Acoustic Version)

about

This version of The Pile was recorded exclusively for BBC Radio 4 show Loose Ends in December 2021.

A stripped back version of the eight-minute opener from Scrimshire's latest, critically acclaimed album Nothing Feels Like Everything, the acoustic version still retains so much power from the original. With a stunning vocal performance from UK Jazz legend & recent Ivor Novello Award winner Cleveland Watkiss, The Pile is still as vital as ever as we see the UK government increase its aggressions against black people and those it considers "other" in British society.
